For five generations now, the Borderie family has intertwined its history with the Château Poulvère's one. A honorable history in the world of wine, beginning with the arrival of Louis Borderie in the early 1900s, yet relatively modest compared to the Château Poulvère's one. Built in the 16th century, our wine estate was established alongside its former mother house, Château de Monbazillac  Located in Monbazillac, at the foot of the Côte Nord, the estate covers 105 hectares of vineyards. The richness and diversity of the region's Appellations d'Origine Protégée (protected designations of origin) mean that we can offer our customers a full spectrum of wines (dry white, rosé, refreshing red, but also full-bodied red, sweet white and liquorous) through 6 PDOs.  The vines are cultivated, the estate is maintained, all work is done in harmony with nature, packaging and contenents are recycled through integrated farming methods. Château Poulvère has held the HVE certification since its introduction by the French Ministry of Agriculture. The estate also follows a ‘zero CMR’ (non-carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic) internal policy for the use of plant protection products. All these commitments can be checked on the estate's website by publishing analyses of the phytosanitary residues in our cuvées.
