Le Chai de mon Père - Cask 111

Léa Laurichesse

Co-owner at Maison Laurichesse

Segonzac, France

About

Old Cognac (around 50 yo), distilled by Olivier's father, Cask 111 is a treasure from the past, with no reduction, and no caramel addition – just pure, unadulterated cognac.

The nose is expressive and complex, with rich aromas of cigar box, blond tobacco, and warm spices. Subtle hints of rancio add depth and intrigue.

On the palate, this cask has a bold and structured attack with a pronounced tannic presence.

The flavors evolve into layers of dried fruits with a hint of white pepper, providing a refined balance between power and elegance.
