Always in search of a delicate balance of flavors, Thomas Pontacq, Chocolate Chef of Criollos, uses refined ingredients in his creations, sourced from dedicated producers renowned for their quality. His chocolates and treats are guaranteed free of preservatives and artificial flavors, made exclusively with natural, plant-based colorants.
We have just launched our range of Bean-To-Bar chocolate bars featuring 12 different plantations, as a travel around the world: one country per continent, two plantations per country, and a unique 72% cocoa content for a tasting experience that primarily celebrates the diversy of terroirs and producers. Wine tasting enthusiasts can now replicate the experience with chocolate and enjoy its exceptionally rich aromatic palette.
Criollos Chocolate Shop is renowned for its delicious "Pavés de La Rochelle"—a format inspired by the old town’s cobblestones—and its unique, indulgent recipe: hazelnut gianduja, bursts of caramelized hazelnuts from Lot-et-Garonne, accented by a hint of fleur de sel from Île de Ré. This La Rochelle specialty has been a staple for the past 10 years, with nearly 2 million little pavés sold in 2024!
